SUBJECT: Remote Viewing Experiment
Colonel Morgan
In early July 1975 Col. Morgan, an American Air Force
officer, was kidnapped in Beirut. Several days after the
abduction, Pat Price called to volunteer information about
the capture. Pat was debriefed at length and his statement
was turned over to the Air Force for verification -- while
Morgan was still a captive.
The information was quite specific and detailed and
included descriptions of the people involved, the procedures
used and the location of the group.
To simplify verification, the report was broken down
into 187 "bits" of information which were then evaluated on
a four point scale -- True, Partly True, False, and Impossible
to Determine. The results were very one-sided. of the 187
"bits" of information, 128 proved False, 9 were Partly True,
6 were True and 43 were Impossible to Determine. As an
experiment in "out of body travel" this must therefore be
considered a failure. If anything, there was a negative
correlation.
This is another example of the unpredictability of the
information produced through remote viewing. on the positive
side it does reinforce Pat's candor and basic integrity. He
could have cheated by feeding us information from the press,
.as the newspapers were more accurate than his report.
