This vessel, during hours of daylight, is positioned to the northwest of a small port city (AOL-Tyre). The bow of the vessel seems to be continuously oriented towards this port. There are two men on the deck (prow) of the vessel and a third in the pilot house. When alerted, the men on deck go through the motions of preparing to cast a very neatly laid out fishing net over the side. Otherwise, there is little or no activity on deck. However, a motorboat/dinghy with four armed men inside seems to be always in the general area (within a mile or two). These men are very vigilant, wary and suspecting. They perform watch duties and act as reaction team, if required. During hours of darkness, the vessel moves in closer to shore, within what may be a harbor, and takes up a position just to the south of a buoy/channel marker. The dingy is much nearer during this time and may actually rendezvous with or resupply the vessel. Higgins' hands are bound in front of him. He has emotions akin to "confused contentment"--he is basically left, alone in an environment to which he is accustomed (i.e., a Marine below deck/Brer Rabbit and the briar patch).
