Approved For Release 2003/09/10 : CIA-RDP96-00792ROO010014003 M 29-Aug-84 Col. Brian Buz y SGFOIA3 Dear Brian, This letter will update you on the progress of the Screening task. Since we are looking for correlations between personality variables and the skills of interest, the researchers have been I- r@eept blind to the pursonality tests. Thus 1 can only repori upon generalities and what steps have been taken to date to accomplish the overall task. To date, all appropriate personnel at our laboratory have been screened with regard to the behaviorial measures and the psychological profiles. Likewise all personnel from the Los Angeles group have their data complete. The group on the East coast is the only one that remains to be tested. I am told by our consultant on the project that we can expect some very interesting results. He is quite excited about various sub-groups within those that have responded already. Much of the item analysis arises from analysis of 3300 responses to questionnaires from a nationwide survey done last year. We are presently involved in the analysis of this data with regard to matches against appropriate target material. I am told that our consultant finally received notice enabling us to visit you. May I suggest that we both visit you on 18-Sep-84 at 1100. We will be driving from Washington on that date. I will be out of town until 10-Sep-84, so if that date is not convenient, please let Hal know. We can reschedule. I sugguest that this meeting be used as an introduction and a time to schedule the appropriate activity. I am looking forward to meeting with you then. Best regards, Edwin C.
