         U*S* E C4 Help Italians
         Pursue General's Kidnapers
              VERONA, Italy - Six antiterror-
         ism experts from the U.S. Defense
         Department joined forces with Ital-
         ian police yesterday to hunt for the
         Red Brigades terrorists who ab-
         ducted an American Army general.
              Police had descriptions of six of
         the eight or nine guerrillas in the
         unit that seized Brig. Gen. James L.
         Dozier at hip apartment here last
         Thursday, police sources said.
              The general's wife, Judith, at-
         tended a church service at the cha-
         pel for U.S. service personnel and
         their families in the American school
         compound at the NATO base,
         in the second such attack this
         month.
              Pakistan lodged a protest over the
         latest alleged attack with the Afghan
         charge d'affaires in Islamabad. M-
         ghanistan has denied a series of
         Pakistani reports of similar Afghan
         border violations in recent months.
