Page 1 is a large -topographic map type outline. I put a guide on the left *0 ...so-that you can translate it. The old cities are.depicted by squares, and the new city boundaries are in dotted lines. So, you can see they're all kind of running, beginning to running together these ciLies....because these are like industry in modern type areas. Heavy black line is.the super highways and the double heavy black lines are the rivers. Inverted Vs are mountains. And, then, the old road, I drew in red. The old road is important because that, that is upon which I do my other drawings. That goes up in the mountains and hits a series of places. But, this city is like a crossroads, you know. The main highway either north or south of this city breaks off to different other main towns after coming down out of the mountains. Page 2 is the old road in the center of the old city. Nowl-this page, the dotted line represents the.boundaries of the old city, and the vay.....therels.like a double river that comes together at the base of the old city. And, there's now a super highway that cuts right -through this whole mess. Ah ..... the old road comes in, goes under the super highway and across the, the river.. I indicated where the traffic circle is and all.that shipped to the river. And, it goes an out the other side, and there's like a branch-that turns out to the south. I'm a little confused here. I get an impression like there's coastline on both sides. But, one or the other-might be a lake.or something. Ohl I indicated mountains on here too. There's mountains all an the north. Page 3 is a closer shot of the old traffic circle, and I got a train station with a rail- road track coming across the parallel bridge, a bridge parallel.to the old road bridge, crosses the river, and .... this is.one of these old fashioned old bridges, youkknow. With the ... 0788R000700160001-8 Approved For Release 200010viv LrU1jrMj Approved For Release 2000/08/07 88ROO0700160001-8 #06 . . . it ' s built. on the little piles of stone in the center. Very old bridge. I'll draw those in. And, traffib circle has got like a nice park area in the center, and all that. And, a train station.is across on the one side, and the cathedral is on the other, and of course, this.is all real old town, you know. All buildings, ... all jammed together in here with cobblestone streets and everything. And, you pass the train station, four.roads, or the 3rd city block, you make a left, and you go down 6 roads to the light industry old warehouse district. Page 4 depicts those 6 blocks. And, if you were to keep going on this road you would wind up in a market down on the river. You know. Like the river goes on down to this market.. I've indicated that this-is water ...... That's really the river, and you go downo one, two, three, four, five, six streets or the end of the sixth block and there's this narrow.alley like street that jogs down-through there. And, about the third or fourth door down on the left side is the, the building with a courtyard. And page 5, I've depicted this narrow alleyway of cobblestones with the buildings all jammed together. These old warehouse type buildings. I didn't get a feel like it was residential, although there might be some residences over the warehouses, but, it's like a real old, old time stucco type warehouse buildings-all jammed together down there. And, this thing had real heavy doors.with slant wood that was-double laped and big, heavy iron bolts going through it, and the big, you know, the iron rings. And, white framing around the windows and the door with a courtyard inside. It had the big heavy tile ....... clay tile roof and the wall was gray, dark gray. And, that's it~ I guess. #72: Okay. On number 4, are these the only streets? #06 No. These are the streets I noticed. There could be a whole lot more.streets in there though. But, I just got a feeling like this was -the sixth-street down on the right. One, two, three, four, five six. I was counting streets going to the right. So, you know there could be a whole lot of.other streets in there, but, that's "WWI the feel I got. #72: All right. I don't have anything else. End of session.
