          MEMORANDUM FOR ASSISTANT DEPUTY DIRECTOR FOR SCIENTIFIC AND
    TECHNICAL INTELLIGENCE
    SUBJECT: SUN STREAK Interim Operational Report - Project 8708
    (U)
    1. (SINFIWN) Source 003 provided the following intelligence
    information obtained during the course of two remote viewing
    sessions.
    2. (SINFIWN) The target item was perceived as cone-shaped,
    rounded, ridged component, a converter type apparatus further
    described as long, silvery, and delicate. Precautionary
    measures were taken to protect the object from environmental
    shock. As an added peculiarity, the item appeared covered with a
    synthetic, resilient material having the properties of teflon.
    3. (SINFIWN) The target item is functionally designed in four
    distinct portions: A Thinking Part; An Adjusting Part; An
    Operational Part (with battery and motor); and the Payload. A
    bipod/tripod apparatus (with stabilizers) is activated in the
    flight mode. It functions as a result of small rhythmic
    pulsations. It is conceptually associated with a launching
    vehicle, a trajectory and a designated point of impact that
    results in a flash of light, heat, and concussion. The item is
    one of not more than three in existence throughout the world.
    Current procedures provide for its removal from storage,
    transportation to an assembly/test area, and its launching and
    subsequent evaluation. At TAB A is Source's subsequent sketch of
    the item drawn in three main sections: The first section is
    described as being relatively passive in nature and simply "goes
    along for the ride"; the second section is complex and involves
    an intricate composite of wires with power and metering devices
    it busily controls and monitors; the third section is limited to
    the accomplishment of one or two functions. It is highly
    dependent on the second section.

  a. (S/NF/WN) Throughout the sessions, Source 003 had
  difficulty overcoming persistent intrusions of analytical overlay
  indicating the item was related to nuclear missiles. SG1A
  b. (S/NF/WN) This report is the last of the interim reports
  to be forwarded under Project 8708
  C. (U) Request you advise of additional EEI to be pursued.
  If no further collection is warranted request you advise of
  nroject termination.
