De Guerre Pools and Courts Structure
(Palo Alto, Stanford University Campus)
Directions: SEE MAP; travel North on Laurel to Ravenswood; turn left on Ravenswood; turn left on El
Camino Real; pass Palm Drive and turn right at the next intersection onto Galvez Street; turn left onto
Eucalyptus Road, and continue past Sam McDonald Mall; the pools and courts are to the right, across a
grassy field; park off the road, facing West towards the structure; walk across the field to the structure.
Target: The target is the De Guerre Pools and Courts Structure. The structure is made of tan colored
cement. The pools are surrounded by cyclone fence with "danger, keep out" signs posted and some green
canvas windscreens connected. There are metal and cement bleachers facing the pools. The pools are
blue in color and are divided into swimming lanes by red and white lines. There are many changes in
levels of the pool areas, with grassy areas, metal bleachers and bleachers up in the sides of the pool
structure.
