Approved For Release 2000/08/09 : CIA-RDP96-00789ROO3600360001-3 WORKING PAPER Project: 910002 Date: 910221 Time: 2210-2215 Viewer: 018 Session: 3 monitor: None SUMMARY OF INFORMATION: Tasking: "Describe events which will occur within the next 1-4 days in the Persian Gulf Crisis." RESULTS: NOTE: The session was interrupted very shortly after it began, and there were no opportunities to re-start that evening or the next morning. Session information was gained from a very light stage of operation, and should be taken as beginning impressions, only. 1. There will be no definite acceptance of the Russian proposal, but there will be a lot of haggling over points within it. 2. There was a perception of a small motorized craft near shore being fired on by rifle fire. When someone from the boat returns the rifle fire, one of the land-based troops surrenders to the boat. His surrender begins an avalanche of ground troups surrendering to the small craft. Several hundred stand on shore, surrendering to the craft, and what appear to be landing craft have to be called in to transport them all. There was a further impression about this event: that the ship which accepts the troups is in very grave danger of being attacked from land forces approximately 23 miles inland, in a north by slightly northwesterly direction (AOL: approximately 17 degrees west of due north). If no protection is provided, the ship could be sunk, losing all aboard as well as the Iraqi ground troups who surrender. This impression, however, was interrupted by a phone call and not further pursued. Approved For Release 2000/08/09 : CIA-RDP96-00789ROO3600360001-3
