It is in an area were the terrain is scrubby green vegetation, lots of browns, and very bumpy. The area has a "poor" feel to it. Currently, there are two aircraft at the site. One is a small single engine propeller plane (like a Piper), the other is a much larger, 2-engine propeller plane. Both planes are old. No activity was perceptible at the site at this time (03 1030L JUL 90). An airdrop is planned for tonight. This appears to be a re-execution of the operation described in the ops data. The drop will occur near a small (appears to be uninhabited) island within reasonable < 1 hour by boat) travel time of Puerto Rico at,approximately 18 23 N 65 13 W. A 35-45 foot, inboard-outboard, pleasure craft (looks similar to a Bert-ram-see- sketch) will be involved in the pickup. Two other vessel will be involved in the operation but not in the actual pick up. Operafion will occur between 03 2100L JUL 90 and 04 0500L JUL 90. OOF: 03123juI90 The target involves an activity associated with aircraft and/or a small airfield. The land within the vicinity of the target has been heavily manipulated by reshaping and movement (see diagram pg. 8). The site contains two main runways with "staging" areas and several structures. The structures have the appearance of being made of wood and metal sheets (possibly corrugated) and are "run down". There are a number of faded, wooden signs. One of the runways has a large ditch or ravine situated perpendicularly immediately at the end of it. It is hot and dusty with large patches of vegetation present. There is a large body of water nearby in at least one direction. There are weapons ie rifles present and a sense of individuals walking around carrying these weapons, These people are standing, walking and watching different activities. There is a sense of a loading activity taking place within one of the large, open structures. I involves movement of large, dark-colored bags reminiscent of army issue duffle bags or mail sacks. These "bags" are stacked in a rear corner of the structure (see diagram pg. 14). There at least two aircraft parked within this structure. One of these aircraft has a brown-red or dark rust colored stripe running length wise. The,main area of activity involves walking, moving objects, men carrying weapons, watching and long, table-like objects reminiscent of the old style roller-type conveyer tracks. One individual is sitting at a long bench and is listening to a report (possibly weather) on the radio. I get the sense that some sort of information is being passed within the context of the broadcast; possibly a warning, a "coast- is-clear" message; something to do with the status of a situation or activity/ope ration. There is one fuel tanker trailer with tractor entering the complex. There is at least one fuel tanker trailer without tractor parked by itself and is sitting along side of a large structure. OOC: 031 OOOL Jul 90 There was an A/D performed by a lightweight, white (with designs on outside) aircraft on 2 Jul. The aircraft is owned by one individual for pleasure. It appears similar to a Cessna. The same aircraft will attempt to make an A/D within 5 days,in the.early evening hours along the western coast or near Puerto Rico. Two small vessels will be involved. One will be used as a decoy. All callsigns will be changed. The word GUITO or GUARDO surfaced.
