(S/NOFORN) Per your requestt following information is submitted for your consideration for updating BG Flynn: a. IRAN SITUATION: Special Operations Division (SOD), JCS requested we intensify our efforts and that we attempt to set up a situation wherein the possibilities for aborting the mission would be sharply reduced. This request from JCS was relayed to INSCOM via Mr. Jackie Keith who took request to CG INSCOM and then to COL Stern. Arrangements are now being worked out to provide a suitable aTea. SG1 I[] b. LTC Watt will be meeting with CIA representative Friday, 25 April, to work out arrangements for joint INSCOM/CIA effort using our assets. This effort was suggested by the DDO and agreed upon by the ACSI. At -this time, we do not know what their requirements will be, but we will be sure not to overload our resources. 2. (S) I do not have all the details but understand that MG Rolya and Mr. Speakman will be visiting SRI in the near future. Although their visit has nothing to do with our project, it might be beneficial if MG Rolya could arrange to visit with our SRI contacts (Dr. Harold Puthoff and Russell Targ). Suggest that BG Flynn discuss this with Mr. Speakman. (NOTE: SRI ontacts are aware of the upcoming visit.) MURRAYT.
