(S/CL-4/NOFORN) HISTORY: Activity with MIAS techniques b this office began in April 1@78. On 11 September 1980, RoberT A. Monroe was granted a S CRET security clearance. After a complete evaluation of MIAS, advanced training for source personnel began in March 1982. 2. (S/CL-4/NOFORN) ADVANCED TRAINING PLAN: a. Phase I: In-house application of Discovery Series. b. Phase II: Attendance at Gateway Program. C. Phase III: One-on-one training with Monroe under laboratory conditions. d. Phase IV: Application of Hemisync tapes during collection operations. 3. (S/CL-4/NOFORN) STATUS: Beginning Phase III. a. Training is to enhance ability of selected. CENTER LANE source personnel. Training will be specifically tailored and designed 'to meet the requirements of this office and extend beyond the confines of the public program currently offered at MIAS.
