MEMORANDUM FOR ADCSOPS-HUMINT
SUBJECT: Meeting with NSA. SG1 I

1. (S) On 5 November 19BI, from 1400-1515 hours I met withi SG1 I
NSA member of DoD GF Committee, at my office. The meeting was requested
SG11 byl Ile prefaced the conversation by indicating lie was only
representing elf and not the Director NSA.
2. (S)i stated -that the DIRNSA h4d not made any decision on any
SG1 I of the recommendations of the advisory committee he had directed to in- SG1 I
vestigate NSA direct involvement in GF activities. Whilel did
not' directly state what the recommendat ions were, from the toric ot our con-
versation two of the possible courses of action are: join the DoD effort.,
or initiate an effort strictly in-house.
SG11 3. (S) I asked if NSA became involved in GF activities, could we
(INSCOM) support NSA. I informed I that first a request would SG1 I
have to be made to DA (ACSI) and it DA concurred, Conmander INSCOM as the
Operational Commander would have to decide if or how much support could be
provided.
4. (U) Offier conversation covered general topics.
