Source was asked to provide azimuth and distance, as best he could,, from the following geographic coordinates to the crash site. 040 231 40" 5/0790 251 2011 W; 2020, approximately 30 km 040 361 00" 5/0790 27' 00" W; 3260, approximately 65 km 040 211 30" S/0790 241 0011 Wt 3600 or 1.800, approximately 20 km The above azimuths relate to true north. 2. When asked about a terrain feature known as "Piedra Blanca", source described a large hill/mountain with a white stone face. Source felt that the crash site was located within 3 kilometers of "Piedra Blanca" oil the backside of a h-ill (see sketch). 3. Source felt that the UH-lH had to make an alteration in its course due to extreme weather conditions. Due to decreased visibility and unfamiliar terrain, source feels that the pilots of -the UH-11-1 were lost.
