be put into effect immediately.

1) We are committed to manage the ESP activity through the line and
with the aid of an appropriate ESP Program Oversight Committee.
Key line responsibility for the ESP Committee will be the direct
line Executive Director of the ESP research team.
3) 1 have selected the following ESP Committee:
Walter G. Chesnut, Chairman
Philip K. Whalen
Oswald G. Villard
Allen M. Peterson
f1ther nembers who are not SRI International employeas'will be recommended for my
approval. All committee members must have adequate clearuires.
4) ESP research plans. and goals will be developed and 3rbmitted for usual
line approval and review by the Resea.-ch Council, the Executive Committee,-
and me, as appropriate.
5) Appropriate accounting for the ESP Commiitee and programs will be provided
to ensure perceived benefits are in concert with costs..
