  1. As of COB 11 Apr 84 this office has run eight sessions on
  this project. Since receiving tasking on 20 Mar 1984 CENTER LANE
  personnel have maintained a minimum of twice weekly liaison with
  the CIA and have on some occasions been in contact with them
  twice daily. For the first seven sessions the EEI was as
  follows:
  a. Determine location of William Buckley.
  b. Determine his physical and mental condition.
  C. Identify his captors.
  For the eighth session the third part of the EEI changed from
  identify his captors to find out who we should contact to
  arrange for his release. The eighth session also differed from
  the first seven in that the first seven sessions were conducted
  in present time or in past time. The eighth session was
  directed at finding his location and physical condition on a
  future date 20 April 1984. It was hoped that by focusing on a
  future date we would be able to develop information that would

         be timely enough to act on after it had been verified by other
         intelligence systems. This was necessitated by the fact that
         previous sessions seemed to indicate that he had been moved on
         at least three occasions.
         2. The following is a chronological list of events concerning
         the Buckley kidnapping.
         a. 16 Mar 84. (Fri) Buckley kidnapped
                       b. 20 Mar 84 (Tues) ICLP received tasking from INSCOM
         and EEI from CIA.
                       C. 21 Mar 84 (Weds) First two interviews run with Source
         one. First interview in AM second
         interview in PM. Source worked
         blind being given only a sealed
         envelope with picture of Buckley and
         targeted on the coordinates of the
         kidnapping in Beirut. Source
         described the kidnapping and
         provided information concerning his
         condition, location and some
         information of identity of captors.
