Approved For Release 2000/08/08 : CIA-RDP96-00789ROO1900800002-2 099 06 Apr 88 0848 - 0926 (Tasking data sheet attached) Summary: An aspect of the event involves action initiated by the smaller (perhaps indigenous) military group, upon the direction of a political "controller". The action is somehow connected with a large, square building. The leader of the small military group is altruistic, and also naive--he is unaware that his group are simply viewed as pawns by the political controller. Ideas associated with the event/action are: surprise, capture, and conceal; it reminds me of a corporate takeover action/attempt. "Cap-Lure" is connected with something symbolic/representative/strategic. The action seems like it is stopped at the last minute, almost like a preemptive attack on the small military group. Note: Two ideas were strongly reoccurring throughout the session: 1) the military leader and 2) the large, square building. Numerous AOL's were present, many which contradict the data: - Latin American embassy attack - Overthrow of a government by a junta - Dienbenphu - US attack on Libya - Israeli air attack on troops in the hills - Beirut bombing of Marineslembassy Approved For Release 2000/08/08 CIA-RDP96-00789ROO1900800002-2
