 KNOWLEDGEABILITY CONTROL (U)
 (S/SG/NF/LIMDIS) Project STAR GATE is a Limited
 Dissemination (LIMDIS) project which means that
 knowledgeabiiity control must be maintained at all times.
 The Knowledgeability Control Authority (KCA) for project
 STAR GATE is the Defense Intelligence Agency Assistant
 SGYtl~y Director for Scientific and Technical Intelligence,
 late KCA is the Branch
       The KCA is responsible for
 granting or denying individuals knowledgeability of this
 LIMDIS program. Personnel requiring knowledgeability of
 project STAR GATE will submit a request to either the KCA
 or the AKCA.
 (S/SG/NF/LIMDIS) A Knowledgeability List of all
 individuals having knowledgeability of the LIMDIS protected
 information will be maintained by the Chief, DT-S. A
 kn6wledgeability list of all individuals in your
 organization having knowledgeability of project STAR GATE
 will be maintained by your organization. Personnel will be
 listed by name, rank/grade, social security number,
 organization, position/title, and the date granted
 knowledgeability. The list will be classified SECRET. DIA
 reserves the right to insure that your list is updated and

current. Any STAR GATE document in your organization will
have a Knowledgeability Control Record attached to it and
anyone reading the STAR GATE document or report will write
their name on the record sheet. This form will assist you
in maintaining the required Knowledgeability List and
maintain knowledgeability control. DIA will request a
comeback copy of this form once it is filled out.
Verification of an individual's knowledgeability of the
project will be done by checking the latest edition of the
knowledgeability list.
(U) Knowledgeability of project STAR GATE will only
be granted to United States citizens possessing a final
SECRET or TOP SECRET security clearance. The determination
made by the KCA will be based on whether or not the
individual requires knowledgeability in order to perform
his or her respective duties.
(U) Requests for knowledgeability of this project
will be submitted to the KCA or AKCA. The following
information should be included:
a. Command, agency, or organization.
b. Duty position or job title.
C. Name, rank/grade.
d. Final security clearance level.
e. Justification.
f. Additional comments if necessary.
