Source A's description bears little resejiblance to the ,Act.ual 20 minute Lost in which I concentrated on the boat -rochure. However, if we take the entire day's activity, not )ust the 20 minute period, then there are a number of correlations. Although I concentrated on the boat brochure during the test, in the afternoon my wife and I went to the. boat dealer to take delivery of a new boat similar to the one pictured. This entire boat buying experience has been one of intense anticipation, excitement and anxiety, Late ir , - dtternoon we took the boat to a county park on the PCIT-_ 1, ~, V e~ - r- and put it in ;-.he water for the fi - time. I drive , s-~ry dark gray Ford -Explorer 4X4 (the Jeep-like vehicle) and, -:~!Acurally, drive through a residential area on mY way to and fron, work. The building where T work is a two storl, modern brick building with large glass panes covering the front. There is a red and white two-star general's flag flying out in front. The cars aie parked in rows in front of the buildirig. There are grass areas and shrubery in front of and to the side -),'j the building. There is a heavy set i-nan associated. with the site, I think. lie was here on Friday, but can't be voure. I ranember seeing him in the hallway, but don't remember exactly when, I can't correlate the large grid structure with the curves on it to anything in the area. Occasionally one of the employee's children will be found in the building, but I don't remember if they were there an Friday. I can't correlate the black iron fence or the people with helnets and headsets, The public address systein is used to call people to the phone. There is no water associated with the site except for normal plumbing and sprinkler systems. There is a very small, dirty, mud ho'~ pond about a block away. Late in the day, 4-5pm, I was at a county park where we test- drove the new boat, but my time -,,s. spent at the launching ramp and parking lot, not the picnic (warm and dry, not daiT4,) and green). Source B: When interpreted as a large area seen from a distance, source B's reports also bear little reseriblance to the test period. However, if interpreted as small objects seen close up, then there is a significant corrclati.on. Again, the entire day's events have to be included, not just the 20 minute test period, When seen close up, the stern of the new boat has many of the described features. 'Plie stern is made up of several curved 140T RELEAS&BLE TO FOREIGN NATIONALS STAR GATE Approved For Release 2000/08/08 : CIA-RDP96-00789ROO2700140002-6 34 13:23 FROM GOU TO [011 ,Approved For Release 2000/08/08~~~DP96-00789ROO2700140002-6 dampur= -surf aces under the swim plattorm which form the transom and rear deck area. I bent down under the c,,tern while the boat was on the .iailer to put in the transoin plug. I had a closed in feeling at tnat time. This occured at about 4:15p.,n at the park on the river. The transom is hard, white, smooth fiberglass. At the c~~n~,.er bottom of the transom is a brass ring about three inches in d.1..wtieter with a oDe-inch hole in the center into which I screwed the brass drain plug. When screwed in, the plug bas a Faised top thaL sticks out that the wrench is used on. The- brass is new and shinny, like the sun. This area is clearly illustrated in Attachments C and E. The black wing-shaped item is most probably the stern drive unit. My bead was right in front of it, between it and the transom, while I screwed the plug in. moving water is definately associated with the stern of the boat, but not while I was putting the plug in. The sterile feeling, feeling of solenness and chest tightning feelings could be associated with the fiberglass hull and my feeliDgS of excitement and anxiety. My nose was only a few inches away from tile hull while putting the plug in and at other times that afternoon. For a brief time around 4 pm my wife and I sat in the car and listened to Tnusic on the ra-dic while at the park. There were a few people moving slowly about the parking lot and launch ramp. Other items could be associated with the picture in the 20 minute test. The capped off feeling or curved drop-off could b(, the bow of the boat in the picture, or the stern also. It could also be the feeling T had when under the stern of the boat putting in the drain plug. The tilted curving feature could be the colored stripes an the sun deck at the rear of the boat .-Ictiire. The stripes are red and gray with the major portion of tlli.k: gun deck being off-white. The black cubp-like objects may the shape of the picture, you will see that there are several squares within squares making up the layout of the picture, The curving objects could be the curved dashboards in front of the occupants of the boat. ~Ilhe series of triangular shaped objects in a row could be the colors of the bow in the picture, If you scan from left to right, as I did during the test, you see first the left, white fore deck, then the red stripe going to the point of the bow, then the right half of the fordeck, followed by the two ovai windows on the right hand side. This could be interpreted as several triangles attached togetber as described. I cannot correlate the fresh., green, damp smell or the swinging doors without glass, Source C: The large object could be the picture of the stern of the boat, described in attachment G. The sinall triangular kite-like NOT RELEASABIAM TO FOREMON NATIONALS STAR GATE TMMIS P. 03 Approved For Release 2000/08/08 : CIA-RDP96-00789ROO2700140002-6 ni:,P,-oe-1994 13:25 FROM Got,~ TO [oil P.04 Approved For Release 2000/08 DP96-00789ROO2700140002-6 obiects could be tl-ie stingray symbol at the top center of the picLure or the series of colors across the bow described above. The site is a large red brick building. The letters "IITRI "are attached to the front of the building, but they are not part of a separate billboard sign with white background as described. However, at the bottoia center of the boat brochure is a square with "1994" in it, somewhat siTrilar to what is described by the source. The overall brochure could bedescribed as a square, white sign with orange-red letters saying "STTNGRAY" at the top. The site is not near a shopping mall (closest one is about 1/4 ~Xnile away), but the front of the building does look like a strip mall with glass panes all along the front. There were a couple of employee's children at the site last week, but : don't remember if they were there on Friday, the day of the test. I was sitting at my desk during the entire 20 minute period of the test. I wear a wide (approx 3/811) wedding band with eLched arcs like interlocking rings cut into the surface, but no other jewelry. I was trying to be calm and concentrate. I had closed the office door and turned off the phone ringer. There is no water associated with the site, except for normal pluabing and the small. mud pond a block away. But, in the late afternoon I was definately near the water with the boat. Attachment A: Unable to correlate. There is a brick building on Route 1 that we passed on the way to the park with the boat that has the rounded features described. I have always admired that building, but I don't remember even noticing it when ! passed it last Friday. Attachment B: Unable to correlate. Attachment C: Almost positive it is the stern of the boat with the brass drain plug at the bottom. Attachment D: Unable to definately correlate. Pictures al and a2 are possibly the oval windows in the bow of the boat picture (the real boat doesn't have the windows), or the curved dash consoles in the boats They could also be another interpretation of the pointed stripes at the bow of the boat in the picture. I have no explaination of the dark gray cylinder in picture b. Attachment E: Clearly the brass drain hole and plug, it is described eXaCtly. The curved object could be any part of the curved surfaces of the hull, but probably the curved stern 7inder the swim platform above the drain hole. Attachment F: The objects appear to be from the picture of the boat I used during the 20 minute test. The curved object with lines to the left is probabty the stern with the water rushing away, or, possibly the curve of the bow. I concentrated on the curves a lot during the test. The mountain is the bow of the boat picture with the stripe down the center.
