Approved For Release 2000/08/08: CIA-RDP96-00789ROO2800100001-0 PROTOCOL JOINT C014MUNICATIONS SERIES This Joint Communications (JC) series will be series of four (targets) with feedback provided after all four projects are completed. The targets will be selected by 11CW11. At 1000 hours each day 11CW11 will focus on one target element as well as any key dynamic/feeling/sensation/sound/color associated with or implied by the target content. This "sender" information will be recorded as part of the target material. The sender will hold target focus for at least 30-45 minutes initially at a specific time during the day; Viewers will initiate their response at 1000 hours, or at any other time throughout the day. At least two sessions are desired per target (the latter session for refinement and for developing target spatial relationship or dynamic/feeling aspects in more detail).. Viewers also have the option of working on the target during the evening. All sessions will be summarized as soon as completed. In the case of evening work, this material will be documented by 0900 hours the following day. Evaluation of this series will be accomplished on a case-by- case basis based on a 0-5 scale comparison, and on a blind ranking procedure. The four targets will be arranged in random order and forwarded to us after all session data is completed for the last target. This will facilitate the blind ranking SG1B procedure. Ground truth will be obtained only after the judging is completed. (S/NF/SG/LIMDIS) Source A: -- The color red, a deep or rustic red, is associated with the site. This is either the color of the car the beacon used or the predominant color from fallen leaves on the ground. The target site has hills and trees. It is like park land. The beacon, who has an active imagination, walked through the woods on paths. There were birds chirping. He may have thinking about himself as a boy or his son, because I envisioned a boy with a baseball hat on backwards. There is a dead tree log at the site. There is a structure at this location which is architecturally designed similar to post barracks or a school. There is a long and high concrete staircase near this structure. After the beacon walked out of the woods and encountered a grass land clearing, he may have climbed these stairs upon his return (sketch 3a). - (S/NF/SG/LIMDIS) Source B: -- The target consists of a large, flat area containing hundreds of large, rectangular-shaped boxes or containers (sketch 3b). There are numerous rows of these; some of which occur slanted at an angle and parallel to one another. These objects are long, narrow, hollow, have a square-shaped cross section and contain echoing noises. These objects are "dirty" with numerous marks, scrapes and gouges inside and out. I sense that wooden floors predominate in most. These lights are very high up. There are long, parallel lines which converge in the distance (horizon?). -- Some of the objects have either a white rectangle or large white letters on the side(s). other concepts and/or objects associated with this target are: Round, wooden objects reminiscent of low posts. A long, thin spinning rod which is black and dirty. --- Numerous "hits" or perceptions involving round... empty...spinning ... hollow; these attributes, in sum, are reminiscent of a circular air vent or blower fan. A 'IV"-shaped trough-like object. --- An enigmatic black object (sketch 3c) which occurs within a larger object. --- Bent, curved metal. A chute-like object where something is taken in and then ejected under force (sketch 3d). --- Long, metal bars joined together; reminiscent of bracing. --- Hot water or smoke/seam. --- The perception of movement past trees and a white church steeple. --- An old man on a cane with blue pants and black boots. --- White cloth reminiscent of a curtain or apron. --- circular, spinning hollow object connected to a power source (sketch 3d). -- The overall concept of this target is a concentration of objects reminiscent of semi-trailers, shipping containers, 2 NOT RELEASABLE TO FOREIGN NATIONALS Approved For Release 2000/08/08: clf JMQATE IV %0789ROO28001000ol-0 Approved For Release 2000/08/08 : CIA-RDP96-00789ROO2800100001-0 railroad cars or buses. The idea being a number of rectangular, squarish and hollow metal "boxes". There is the concept of wheels but I cannot ascertain if these are directly connected to these objects. - (S/NF/SG/LIMDIS) Source C: -- The beacon person drove to a rather isolated area. While the beacon was on the road, there was a rather large sign on the side of the road. This sign was black and white in color and it had a checkered or diamond design (sketch 3e). -- The target was a large square structure that stood on a small hill. This large structure was somewhat isolated. There was a setting in the background that looked natural except that it had beautiful colors like navy blue and yellow (sketches 3f,g and h). I could not sense people here or much activity. I don't think the beacon person went inside the structure. 3 NOT RELEASABLE TO FOREIGN NATIONALS Approved For Release 2000/08/08:SMW-00789ROO2800100001-0 App-roved For Release 2000/08/08 CIA--RDE.96 00789ROO28001000010 NOFORN 2000/08/08 CM~tJWP~jxM789ROO2800100001-0 LIMDIS Sketch 3a.
