The work is being carried out with the aid of the most highly perfected modern telescope: it consists of 256 spherical radio antennas arranged in the form of a cross and constituting a unified system -- a kind of mirror with a 622-m diameter. Computers are used to control this complex astrophysical system. With their assistance, information about solar processes can be analyzed in greater depth and scope and with improved accuracy. The giant radiotelescope makes it possible to study in detail phenomena of the universe. Such knowledge is becoming more and more essential for life on earth and conquest of cosmic space.
