*USAF h %06bFAW001200410026-7 DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE 77 HEADQUARTERS UNITED STATES AIR FORCE WASHINGTON, D.C. RPPLY ro 29 SEP 1978 ATTN OF@ IN SUBJECT: DOD Program on Remote viewing (S/ORCON) (Your Ltr, 6 Sep 78) TO: Director, Defense Intelligence Agency/DT (Dr. Jack Vorona) 1. (S/ORCON) We concur with your proposal to establish an Advisory Committee and Working Group for a DOD remote viewing development program. We anticipate that the Foreign Technology Division (FTD) will participate in the Working Group since it is responsible for production of threat assessment con- cerning Warsaw Pact paranormal research. 2. (S/ORCON) Air Force intelligence, for the last two years, has supported $100K of contractual assistance for FTD to verify data on Warsaw Pact exp eriments in paranormal tech- niques. We can and will continue to support FTD's data verification efforts at that level.for the foreseeable future. However, due to the austere level of funding within the General Defense Intelligence Program (GDIP),"we cannot commit additional funds at this time. 3. (SIORCON) We wish to remain cognizant of the evolving DOD program on remote viewing. My representative at future meetings and focal point for this subject will be Lt Colonel Michael Bloom, INYSA, ext. 51357. Cy to: FTD/CC L.
